Deportation Laws

The deportation laws of the United States are extremely harsh and were said to focus on immigrants who have a criminal record, not innocent college age girls and their mothers. They should focus more on people who are wreaking havoc and sending the U.S. into a state of distress.  Although i feel that immigrants should stay in their own country, if they marry a U.S. citizen and have children that are born in America then the parents should not have to be separated and the children forced to live with only one parent.  Why do the immigrants who have a family, a house, and a job have to leave?
